What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They're commonly used for things like keeping you logged in, remembering preferences, and analytics.
Cookies we set
- Matomo analytics cookies — Self-hosted Matomo at mana.ie/stats. Anonymised: IP addresses are anonymised before storage; we don't track across other sites. Cookie names:
_pk_id.*,_pk_ses.*. Lifespan: 13 months (id) / 30 minutes (session). - Session cookies — Set during a form submission to prevent duplicate submissions. Cleared when you close the browser.
Cookies we do NOT set
- No Google Analytics
- No Facebook Pixel
- No advertising trackers
- No cross-site tracking
- No third-party social-media trackers
Managing cookies
You can disable cookies in your browser settings — instructions vary by browser. We don't show a cookie banner because the only cookies we set are functional + privacy-respecting analytics, which don't require consent under the most common GDPR interpretations. If you'd prefer not to be tracked at all, browser-level Do Not Track is honoured by Matomo.
