Kerry produces some of the most distinctive grass-fed lamb in Ireland — mountain-grazed on the Dingle Peninsula, the Ring of Kerry, and the uplands around Ireland's highest peaks. We're building our Kerry listings. In the meantime, these butchers deliver across Ireland.
Kerry's upland terrain — the MacGillycuddy's Reeks, the Slieve Mish range on the Dingle Peninsula, the Iveragh hills — produces mountain lamb with a flavour tied directly to the landscape. Sheep grazing high ground above 300m eat a different diet from lowland animals: heather, wild grasses, bog cotton, and the salt carried inland from the Atlantic. The result is a leaner, more mineral meat.
Kerry also has a strong coastal beef tradition in the lowland areas around Tralee Bay and north Kerry, where the mild Atlantic climate supports year-round grazing. Kerry Blue Terriers and the native Kerry cow are reminders of the county's deep livestock heritage.
We're actively adding Kerry producers to the directory. If you're sourcing or selling grass-fed meat in Kerry, get in touch.
We're building this section. Here's what's waiting for the right producer.
Kerry mountain lamb is one of Ireland's most distinctive grass-fed products — shaped by Atlantic upland grazing on the Dingle Peninsula and the Reeks. This slot is reserved for a Kerry-based producer: mountain lamb, upland beef, or north Kerry lowland grass-fed cattle.
